I stayed in the king size bedroom at the lodge for 2 nights and felt very welcomed by all including Craig, Dawn, Lara, two very nice dogs and a cat. The lodge is in a picturesque, peaceful setting at the foot of Mt Rangitumau. The king bedroom/ensuite was spacious and the bed was very comfortable. The place is a quality place to stay, with good amenities and warm with central heating plus a large open fireplace in the main living room. I had a very enjoyable and relaxing time and was very well looked after. Craig has a passion for cooking and the food was great! If you are looking for a place to stay in or near Masterton I highly recommend this one.

Amazing stay! Cozy and beautifully decorated room, delicious dinner with great wine, and a super friendly welcome from Craig and his wife. The homemade breakfast was lovely. We felt truly at home. Five stars aren’t enough for our stay at Te Rangi Lodge! Craig and his wife were incredibly welcoming — it felt nothing like being at a hotel but more like visiting friends. On arrival, we were invited to relax by the fireside with a G&T and homemade olives before enjoying an excellent homemade dinner. Their beautiful home is filled with personal treasures from their lives around the world, giving it a warm, homey feeling. A truly memorable experience — we’ll definitely return to this gem :)
